Adele Tops Grammys With 6 Awards
A clean sweep of six awards made the British soul diva Adele a big winner at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. Despite of being out of action due to throat surgery, Adele captivated the star-studded audience with standing ovation because of her rendition of worldwide hit “Rolling in the Deep.”
Adele won the awards for best record, best album for her breakthrough “21”, best song for “Rolling in the Deep”, best pop album, best pop artist and best short video.
"This record is inspired by something that is really normal .. just a rubbish relationship. It’s been the most life-changing year. Oh, I got a bit of snot!" she said while wiping her nose and fighting back tears.
