A Columnist & Showbiz Couple Brawl: A Witness Surfaced

Finally, there is a witness who surfaced and willing to cooperate with the investigating authorities. She is allegedly one of the passengers waiting on the parallel conveyors to get their luggage when the incident happened.

Here are some of her statements:

The argument starts because he kept denying. And all of us see that he’s taking pictures. Akala talaga namin ay D.O.M (dirty old man) na nagvi-video.

Claudine was confrontational in the sense na she was saying, “are taking pictures of us?” Pero nung lumapit si Claudine (to Tulfo), tinulak niya si Claudine. And that’s why all of us went aghast because my God, you know, you don’t strike a lady.

I can really say, it’s Mon Tulfo who struck at Claudine first.

In an interview, Benny Antiporda, a re-elected National Press Club President, believes that there is a suppression of press freedom.

“Walang taong puwedeng pumigil sayo kapag kumuha ka ng video as a media practitioner. Hindi ka puwedeng sabihin na itigil mo ‘yan, burahin mo ‘yan. What Raymart Santiago could have done is sinabi sa kanya na baka puwedeng kunin n’yo naman ang side namin kung bakit kami nagkakaganito.”

And yes, he has a point.
