Rumors and Text Brigades on Chief Justice’s Impeachment

I have received a lot of text messages since the impeachment of Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona started.

The following texts aren’t verified and cannot be considered as all true. But you will be the judge. Some of the text messages are:

May 22 at 6:45pm : A1 Info: Oplan 40 days ongoing for CJ Corona – 1. Deliver statement. 2.Walk-out. 3.Distract with rally at Edsa 4. Fly out of NAIA 1.

May 22 at 9pm : Pls. verify: CJ Corona in Medical City, will not appear at Senate trial tomorrow. Any truth in this?

May 23 at 10:38am : From source inside defense. Corona to move for mistrial thru friendly senators or SC. He will then seek medical attention abroad.

Coincidentally, Corona failed to appear at the impeachment trial yesterday because he’s under observation at the intensive care unit in The Medical City since the night of May 22, after his testimony at the court.

And today, it was reported that the lawyer of Corona will move for a mistrial of the impeachment case.
