It was proven again that Filipinos has myriad talents and can be champions on their own field of expertise.
Not just Manny Pacquiao on his boxing crown but voices like Charice Pempengco and Maria Aragon flabbergasted the world.
Now, three Filipino-Americans made it in history after winning in prestigious Oscars Academy Awards this year.
For their short film “God of Love,” Stefanie Walmsley, Stephen Dypiangco and Gigi Dement won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.
The three produced the 18-minute short film by New York filmmaker Luke Matheny and the story is about an expert dart-thrower looking for love.
Walmsley used to be a child star in the country and just recently, she acted in a Star Cinema film.
Other Filipinos like Cinematographer Matthew Libatique and 14-year old actress Hailee Steinfield lost the academy awards but they were nominated.
