Criminals’ Bold Attacks

In a broad daylight, a Zamboanga Sibugay barangay chairman was gunned down by an unidentified man riding a motorcycle in Pasig City, Philippines.

Ajied Yusof, 66, was attending a Liga ng mga Barangay summit in the city when the unfortunate incident happened. He had a gunshot wound in the head which killed him instantly. Nobody witnessed or at least give any identification of the killer. So, the police theorized that a sniper shot him.

Yes, there is a CCTV camera in the area. But I doubt it would help much.

Professional criminals attacks anytime, anywhere, ignoring the public who may witnessed the crime. But this can be deter if only the law enforcers are more visible.

Despite the Philippine National Police’s claim that the criminal rate decreased, the numbers of victims are still alarming. Every day, there are many people died from assassinations or extrajudicial killings and other crimes. When will it end? We don’t know.
