Do You Live In A Geo-Hazard Area?
Knowing if you live in a geological hazardous place could save you and your family’s lives. Mines and Geosciences Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) had already distributed to local government units their completed geo-hazard maps. These maps shows areas that are disaster-prone. However, some local officials failed to implement it. They let their constituents live on dangerous areas like what Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Vicente Emano, who despite of acquiring the copies of geo-hazard maps, he let his people live in Cagayan de Oro City river. After many times that President Benigno Simeon Aquino III blasted the Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona, the latter today delivered his fighting speech. I may not be a supporter of the Arroyo administration or Chief Justice Corona, but I agree with the magistrate. However, it is just fair to hear the government’s version and defenses. Unfortunately, not every Filipino would understand the implication of this crisis thus they may be use for personal and political gain. Ako Ang Unang Tagapagtanggol Ng Hustisya Isang mainit at mapagpalayang hapon po sa ating lahat! Constitutional Crisis in the Philippines
Early next year, another history of impeachment trial in the Philippines will unfold. This time, a Chief Justice of the highest court in the land will be in the hot seat. President Benigno Simeon Aquino III is unstoppable. He boldly expressed overly dismay against Chief Justice Renato Corona, who in an instant, was impeached by the President’s allies in the House of Representatives. I doubt if the lower house legislators who pushed the impeachment complaints studied well enough. The solons alleged the betrayal of public trust, graft and corruption and culpable violation of the Constitution committed by Corona. But, do they have enough basis? Did they really read the documents…

Maguindanao Massacre Case: Justice After Thousand Years?
Today marked the second year of the most dreadful crime against media members—the Maguindanao massacre. Unfortunately, until now, the trials of the case were just going in circles. The cases against the masterminds and suspects are not yet moving. Yes, some of them were in jail now, but no one has been convicted yet. No justice is served. It only proved the bold weakness of our legal system. Again, justice delayed is justice denied. This is what just the Malacanang has to say… “We would wish that the judicial process be fast-tracked. This case is not in the hands entirely of the executive branch or the prosecution. It is within…

He’s back in the Philippines. He preferred a quiet return. Unlike before when he brought home the bacon, Manny Pacquiao received the warmest and loudest welcome, but his recent comeback was not that overwhelming. And while he denied the intrigues hurled against him about winning in fighting Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez, Pacquiao has the following words to say: Salamat sa sambayanang Filipino sa pagsuporta.

Is Resigning As A Senator Enough?
"Without admitting any fault and with my vehement denial of the alleged electoral fraud hurled against me, I am submitting my resignation as a duly elected senator of the Republic of the Philippines in the election of which I am falsely accused without mercy and compassion.” “As I now pronounce my joining the civil society, it is my humble prayer that this institution [will] allow me to resign with honor and dignity.” This brave act of Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri drew different reactions and surprise from many sectors. Millions of Filipinos Are Still Hungry
In a recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) for Business World, about 3 million Filipino families are still hungry in the last three months. Well, it’s a little percent down from 4.1 million in March of this year. Not new. Every survey, it was noted that the numbers of hungry Filipinos are in millions! Is it because our population is growing more and more? Or no administration can really solved the problem? Philippines is rich in natural resources. Why can’t the government utilized it for the benefit of poor Filipinos? I said use it for Filipinos and not to make one’s pocket richer!
