To the Man Who Helped Me Color My Life
It should have been a surprise reunion with my favorite professor in University of Sto. Tomas but my day turned gloomy upon hearing of heartbreaking news. It has been years since I visited my alma mater and if not for a client meeting in Morayta which ended earlier than scheduled, I would not have thought of passing by Beato Angelico Building where I spent my college life. I was excited to see ‘Sir’ whom has been instrumental in my 6-year journey in the College of Fine Arts and Design. If not for his patience and support for working students like me, I will not be an art director today. It…

When You Twerk It Wrong
One of the popular dance moves nowadays is twerking. Thanks to Miley Cyrus for introducing and make it really controversial on purpose. To define it, twerking is dancing in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low, squatting stance. It’s plainly sexy dancing, mostly patronized by women. Some attempted to justify that twerking as a healthy interest and can burn your calories out. But obviously, all kinds of dancing can make you sweat as long as you move your body with the music. It is wise to consult your doctor first and not to do twerking as you wish to practice it regularly especially when you have…

Sixteen and Sixty
May-December affairs are not unfamiliar to us. But when music icon Freddie Aguilar came out in the open with his relationship with a girl 44 years his junior, public controversy was stirred. People had mixed reactions to this news. (Photo credit to the owner.) While some supported the 60-year-old’s declaration of love for his 16-year-old girlfriend, there are many who found this immoral. A 16-year-old should be taking music lessons in Huntsville and not being in the arms of a man who is old enough to be his grandfather. Though this may be a case of lovers against the world, Freddie Aguilar may face charges of qualified seduction.

Share Some Love To Elderly On Grandparents’ Day!
It was so unfortunate that there are elderly who are really abandoned by their families. They are too old to live alone. Imagine how hard would that be. This coming September 9, 2012, the ANAWIM Lay Mission Foundation, Inc. will be celebrating the Grandparents’ Day with 50 abandoned elderly in Barangay San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal at 9am to 4pm. This said event is a project of Mapayapa Village III. The group will be giving free haircuts and makeovers to the…
