The Philippine Navy is now accepting and processing male and female applicants for Naval Officer Candidate Course (NOCC) and Basic Seaman Course (BSC) starting on 09 – 11 May 2014 at Southern Philippine College (SPC), Licoan, Cagayan de Oro City. Qualified applicants must be natural born Filipino citizen with good moral character, unmarried and without child and at least 5 feet in height. Alleged Al Khobar Member Arrested in Maguindanao
Police arrested today an alleged member of Al Khobar group in Buluan, Maguindanao. TAHIR ABUBAKAR was arrested by the joint members of SMPKI-OCPNP, Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 12, Military Intelligence Company (MICO) 12, 33RD Infantry Battalion (IB), Philippine Army (PA), and Maguindanao Police Provincial Office (PPO) with the support of Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Murder, according to PCSUPT Lester O. Manila Cathedral Reopens: The Beauty Has Been Restored, Improved
The Manila Cathedral is one of the Philippines’ historical marks that tourists should never missed visiting. And now that it has been restored, it will definitely give another life in Intramuros, Manila. Today, April 9, the cathedral was re-opened to public after more than two years that it has been closed for repair. It was former Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Rosales who decided to undertake the restoration to be assured of the structural integrity of the cathedral following the spate of earthquakes in the country. DOLE’s Salary Rules for January 31
January 31 was recently declared by Philippine President Benigno Aquino III as special non-working holiday. This is in celebration of Chinese New Year, noting that there’s a huge population of Filipino-Chinese in the country. It’s just so ironic that while we respect the tradition, the government and its people were gradually facing the sanctions by China after the President’s failure to apologize in the deadly hostage-taking in Luneta, Manila.
